Trainer Biographies
Londa Horton
Londa’s professional career began as a high school social science teacher and coach where she won several grants and awards for using innovative technology in her classroom. She went back to graduate school at Michigan State University for her degree in instructional design and studied industrial/organization psychology as a result. This launched her career in “real life” instructional design at Ford Motor Company where she put her passion for motivating people to learn, to the test. She successfully wrote the business plan for corporate implementation of satellite distance learning and was awarded the Distance Learning Pioneer Award for her efforts. She has since launched her own training design, development and facilitation consulting company specializing in the design of satellite distance learning via live television broadcasts. Londa has won the national:
• TeleCon Design Award for Best Broadcast
• OneTouch Award for Most Effective Broadcast using Mixed Technologies
• OneTouch Award for Most Highly Interactive Broadcast
She is a board member of ASTD as well as the MSU Alumni Association for Study Abroad Scholarships.
